Canadian iPhone packages are now up on the Rogers website. I was already thinking of not getting an iPhone. I really don’t want a contract, especially a 3 year contract on an expensive phone.

Jiffy: Open Source Performance Monitoring

There’s a neat Open Source project that was announced today at Velocity (actually, it may have been announced at YAPC::NA already). It’s called Jiffy.
Jiffy is made up from a bunch of components:

A javascript library that allows you to start and stop timers (they call them marks and measures)

This morning, Hyperic’s CEO,  Javier Soltero, did a presentation on their new website called http://cloudstatus.com. They do performance and availability monitoring of Amazon Web Services. Renaming EC2 Instances
